1. BILINGUAL SCHOOLS
More and more parents are realizing the advantages of going to a bilingual school and are therefore in favour of this type of school.
In the Paris region, about thirty nursery schools offer a French-English environment. These are various establishments (Montessori, international...) with often high but relatively diversified prices. You will find a list at the end of the article, classified according to tuition fees.
2. ENGLISH DISCOVERY WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
Another approach to English for children can be found in English courses for 3 to 6 year olds. These kinds of workshops, often playful, are a second option to familiarize the child's ear with the sounds of a new language.
In Paris, many courses of this type exist with various approaches and activities such as Le Bus Bilingue, Kids&Us, Kiddies Club, ou encore Les Petits Bilingues. L’association DULALA (D’Une LAngue à L’Autre) offers bilingual workshops based on play in a wide range of languages, particularly for children of parents who speak a language other than French at home.
3. ENGLISH-LANGUAGE CHILD CARE
Finally, an alternative solution to exposing children's ears to a foreign language is to have them cared for by an English-speaking person (if it is a question of teaching them English!). Specialized childcare agencies exist, such as be my nounou, Nanny Agency, Baby Speaking, Babylangues or Eveil bilingue.. It is also possible to use an "au pair" directly.
